There are a ton of great products out there which will run from a USB stick. They come under various names. USB Apps, Portable Apps etc.
The beauty is that they leave NO TRACE on the computer you are using. So you can use them at that internet cafe, the library or a motel computer and no traces will be left.
All stuff is loaded from, used and saved on the memory stick.
The other advantage they have is that they are so fast because they run on Windows but don't have to wait for some Windows file to load before you can use the app.
This makes them MUCH faster than the full-size application.

For churches or anyone for that matter, we are making a CD that will have all the best PORTABLE APPS we could find PLUS the BEST FREEWARE which may be very useful to a church, ministry or invididual user.
There are SO MANY great free applications out there either online or that you can download, why bother paying for software?
There are some applications such as Microsoft Publisher which perhaps cannot be replaced by a free application. But in most cases, for general use, the freeware will be all you will need.
I personally use a combination of freeware AND great online applications which are free. There may be limits but generally for my personal or online business use, they are fine. There are commercial products which I own that I have not even bothered to load on this new hard drive because I don't need them [at least yet !].
